We are working with our longstanding client to recruit a proactive and strategic Senior Internal Communications Manager who is just as comfortable drafting compelling content as they are leading high-level communication strategies. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a global company, driving engagement and performance through strategic internal communications.

The Role:

As the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, you will partner with key business areas, including Sales, Finance, Legal, IT, ESG, Procurement, and others, to create and execute communication strategies that drive business results. Working closely with sales leaders, you will design communications initiatives that enhance sales performance and employee engagement. Reporting directly to the Global Director of Internal Communications, you will act as a trusted deputy when needed, taking the lead during their absence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic and Hands-On Execution: Develop and execute internal communication strategies while being actively involved in drafting content and supporting stakeholders directly.
  • Sales-Focused Communication: Collaborate closely with sales leaders to design targeted communication strategies that drive sales performance and engagement.
  • Deputy Leadership: Act as the deputy to the Global Director of Internal Communications when they are unavailable, confidently stepping in to lead and provide strategic guidance.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide support and coaching to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing internal communications environment.
  • Continuous Improvement Strategy: Play a key role in implementing continuous listening initiatives and analysing feedback to refine communications approaches.
  • Collaborative Partner: Work closely with regional internal communications colleagues and the broader marketing team to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.

About You:

  • You are both a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor, equally comfortable drafting engaging copy and developing communication strategies.
  • You have a strong understanding of sales dynamics and know how to work effectively with sales leaders to enhance performance through communications.
  • Experience in stepping in as a deputy leader, confidently managing communication strategies and guiding the team in the absence of senior leadership.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and communicate effectively at all levels.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in internal communications, with a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Experience partnering with sales teams, with a focus on driving performance and engagement through communication.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred.

Working Model: Hybrid
Salary: £75k to £85k plus bonus and excellent benefits
