Location: London, UK (Hybrid)

Duration: 3-6 months with strong possibility of extension

Rate: £450 to £550 per day inside IR35

About the Role:

Are you an experienced investment management or financial services corporate communications contractor with experience in internal communications and media relations? Comms Search & Selection is recruiting a versatile and experienced corporate communications contractor to join a global investment manager’s dynamic communications team. 

This role is ideal for a communications professional who excels in both internal and media communications. You will be responsible for handling everyday internal communications tasks, drafting strategic communications plans, and managing media relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies and plans in partnership with the Global Head of Communications.

  • Create, edit, and manage content on internal platforms such as SharePoint.

  • Draft and distribute internal communications, including newsletters, announcements, and updates.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align communication strategies with business goals.

  • Handle media relations, including drafting press releases, managing media inquiries, and coordinating interviews.

  • Support crisis communications and manage sensitive information with discretion.

  • Work on strategic communications projects and provide high-level support to the communications team.

  • Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.

  • Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of communication strategies and suggest improvements.


  • Proven experience in corporate communications, with a strong background in both internal and media communications.

  • Previous experience in the investment management or financial services industry is a must-have.

  • Technically proficient with SharePoint and other internal communication tools.

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging content.

  • Experience in developing and implementing communication plans.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strategic thinker who can also manage day-to-day tasks without hesitation.
